Davao Gulf is bounded by the provinces of Davao del Norte in the north; Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental in the east; and Davao del Sur in the west.  Altogether, there are 565 barangays from twenty-four local governments made up of twenty-three municipalities of the four Davao provinces, the City of Davao, and the three city districts of the IGACOS ( View Table 1).
