After a long period of waiting, the time has finally come. The dream has become a reality and all Davao Gulf stakeholders now have enough reason to celebrate with the development of the Davao Gulf Framework Plan. The comprehensive research, development and management activities that are embedded in the Framework Plan will greatly shape our gulf as the catalyze development in the Gulf. That hard and useful data obtained will provide the respective coastal LGUs sufficient guide for the proper planning and management of their municipal waters relative to law enforcement, taxation and establishment of livelihood projects.

At the onset, I would like to congratulate the officers and members of the Davao Gulf Management Council for the active participation of local government units and the unwavering support and cooperation of private institutions and concerned individuals.

All the best for a bountiful Davao Gulf.
